Academic Discipline

The Institute places the highest value on integrity and honesty in students’ academic work. Students are expected to uphold strict discipline in all aspects of academic activities, including classrooms, examinations, tests, and other evaluative segments. Any form of unfair or unethical behavior during exams, quizzes, home assignments, or other assessments, or attempts to influence grades through pressure from parents or guardians, will be taken seriously and result in strict disciplinary action. Unless explicitly stated by the faculty, students are required to complete their home assignments independently, without collaboration.

In other words, each student’s work should be their own, and they should avoid sharing their written responses with others. Additionally, no discussions of any kind will be allowed in the examination halls. Faculty members may also restrict discussions or consultations regarding home assignments and exams or implement other measures to prevent the use of unfair means in any evaluation process.

Examination Rules

Attendance and passing all exams conducted periodically are mandatory for all students. Students must carry an Admit Card and an Identity Card, both ready for inspection. They should be seated in their assigned seat in the examination hall at least 10 minutes before the exam starts. No one will be permitted to enter the hall after this time.

Cell phones, pagers, and similar devices must be turned off before entering the hall and kept away from the desk along with other personal belongings. The use of digital diaries and other electronic devices is strictly prohibited, except for simple, non-programmable calculators and other devices specifically permitted by the faculty.

Students must ensure that there is no writing on the desk, wall, question paper, or any other object around them, including parts of their body. Any student found with such writing will be expelled from the exam hall and may face further disciplinary action according to Institute rules.

Invigilators and staff members are authorized to take necessary actions, including expelling students from the examination hall and confiscating unauthorized items. Students must strictly follow all instructions given by staff and invigilators. Course fees, library fees, and any other dues must be paid before the exams begin; failure to do so will result in exclusion from the exams. Eating and chewing gum in the examination hall are prohibited. Students should bring their own water bottles and stationery, as borrowing is not allowed.

The Institute adheres to a “zero tolerance” policy regarding unfair practices during examinations. Any student caught using unauthorized materials or engaging in dishonest practices will face severe penalties, which may include detention for a year or expulsion from the Institute. The Disciplinary Committee’s decision will be final and binding, and no apologies, written or oral, will be accepted by the Institute’s management
